Job Overview

As a Title 5 center, we require teachers to have at least an Associate Teacher Permit.

Responsibilities
• Step into various classrooms to provide support as needed.
• Relieve teachers for breaks and lunches to maintain smooth classroom operations.
• Assist teachers in delivering lessons using the MAE for Pre-K curriculum.
• Foster a kind, respectful, and safe emotional and physical environment for children.
• Support students’ social-emotional and academic development.
• Maintain consistency in classroom routines and expectations.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff.
• Follow California Title 22/Title 5 regulations, including maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions.
Qualifications

Is 18 years of age or older.

High School diploma (equivalent GED)

Knowledge of and ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

At least six months of work experience in a licensed childcare center or comparable group child care program.

Complete 16 hours of health and safety training.

Adaptability and willingness to work with various age groups and classroom settings.

Title 5 Teachers must hold a California Teacher Permit or willingness to obtain prior to employment
