Early Childhood Education Program Administrator / Pre-school Center Administrator

As a Program Administrator, you will play a vital role in overseeing center operations, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and supporting both staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management: Oversee staffing levels to ensure compliance with Title 5 teacher-child ratios. Evaluate staff communication and teaching practices to promote effective child development.

  • Compliance & Regulations: Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including Title 5 requirements. Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.

  • Financial & Operational Management: Supervise the accurate maintenance of financial and operational records. Manage and monitor special programs such as the California Child Care Transition Program (CCTR) and Early Head Start (EHS). Track enrollment data, tuition fees, and payment schedules.

  • Program Development: Assist in revising, refining, and developing center policies, programs, and budgets in collaboration with leadership.

  • Staff Development: Train, supervise, and evaluate teaching staff. Provide professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.

  • Classroom Support: Step in as a substitute teacher when necessary to ensure consistent classroom operations.

  • CCTR Contract Management: Assist with audits for CCTR contracts, including budget management, reporting, and compliance. Collaborate with stakeholders to meet contract requirements and effectively utilize funding.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting for all programs and contracts.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2-5 years of administrative experience in a childcare setting.

  • Strong knowledge of Title 5 regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Experience in financial record-keeping, reporting, and managing special programs (CCTR or EHS preferred).

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
